About the origin of the album title, BLACK STAR RIDERS frontman Ricky Warwick states:

"I was watching a documentary about World War II bombers and saw the name painted on the side of one of the aircraft. The name just resonated with me and it seem to encapsulate the turmoil that we, as a society, are currently experiencing. The past few years have been such a wild ride and now with the release of the album, it sounded like a bad-ass album title that summed up what BLACK STAR RIDERS is all about."

Produced & mixed by the legendary Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Rush), the track listing for All Hell Breaks Loose is:

BLACK STAR RIDERS, groupe issu du line-up live de THIN LIZZY (avec le batteur Jimmy DeGrasso, ex-MEGADETH, à la place de Brian Downey), sortira le 27 mai son premier album (produit par Kevin Shirley, producteur des derniers albums de BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, IRON MAIDEN, Joe Bonamassa, etc.) chez Nuclear Blast. Il aura pour titre : All Hell Breaks Loose.

La voix de Warwick m'a surpris agréablement. Avec un début à la Get Out Of Here (notamment sur la première moitié de ce morceau) le titre dérive vers un rythme très marqué à la Opium Trail entrecoupé de contre-temps syncopés à la Jailbreak pour finir sur des twin guitars à la Southbound. Ca me paraît drôlement encourageant même si je sais objectivement que le haut niveau de ce morceau ne sera pas présent sur tous les autres titres.

SALUT à tous, la vache, 30 ANS que j'attends cela et le jour j est enfin arrivé....Quel pied devant ce nouveau titre, tu as raison Phil, tout est en place, parfait, Ricky ne singe pas Phil mais chante avec tout son coeur et beaucoup de respect pour l'oeuvre de Lizzy, la composition est bonne, les harmonies bien en place, Damon nous délivrant un sacré bon solo. je ne m'inquiète pas pour le reste de l'album, scott connait son lizzy par coeur et s'est comment tourné une chanson. j'espère que l'album ne sera pas descendu par des critiques passéistes, que le bouche à oreille marchera et que ce sera un succès. la musique de phil doit rester en vie, être jouée et ne pas mourrir avec notre génération. puisse BSR lui donnait un coup de jeune et par son intermédiaire être connue et reconnue par la nouvelle génération. VIVE LIZZY, vive PHIL LYNOTT et BSR, merci à SCOTT et à tous les membres du groupe pour ceux qu'ils font. amitiés.

Thin Lizzy are moving forward as Black Star Riders after one final concert date over the weekend, Hennemusic reports.

The band, who has recently announced their decision to change name, will play the Virgin Australia Stadium in Mackay, Australia on Saturday, as the opening act on the KISS/Motley Crue tour.

After touring the past few years as Thin Lizzy, the lineup adopted the new band name to start recording a new album with a clean slate, and out of respect to the legacy of the late Phil Lynott.

"Tomorrow is the last show that Thin Lizzy will be playing for quite some time," posted singer Ricky Warwick.

"I would like to take this opportunity to say from the bottom of my heart how much of a privilege, honor and dream come true this experience has been. To have spent the last 3 years being part of such a fantastic legacy has been amazing. I would like to thank Darren Wharton and Brian Downey for their musicianship and friendship and wish them all the best in all their future endeavors. I would to thank all of you out there for your past and continued support. And of course Mr. Phil Lynott for letting me stand beside your shoes, you have taught me so much."

Black Star Riders recorded their debut album, "All Hell Breaks Loose", in January with producer Kevin Shirley.

Starting with two nights in Glasgow and culminating with two nights at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire the tour, consisting 14 shows, will feature classic tracks from both bands and also music from both acts forthcoming new releases.

EUROPE, featuring all original members, Joey Tempest on Vocals, John Norum on Guitar, Mic Michaeli on Keyboards, John Leven on Bass and Drummer Ian Haugland, with over 20 million albums to their credit, released their last album “Bag of Bones” to mass critical acclaim in 2012.

BLACK STAR RIDERS feature Thin Lizzy members Scott Gorham (Guitar), Ricky Warwick (Vocals) and Damon Johnson (Guitar), alongside drummer Jimmy DeGrasso and new bass player Robbie Crane, released their debut album “All Hell Breaks Loose” in 2013 with a UK national chart placing of number 25 and many publications praising the release and giving it the 2013 Album of the Year accolade.
